Paper Canoes on Feltaid

I've put my paper canoes on Feltaid to help raise some cheer, support and funds for the earthquake recovery effort in Christchurch. As they say, it's every little bit that counts, so lets make craft for charity make a difference.

Pom Pom Note book

Admittedly this post is somewhat late, but this little pom pom notebook and pencil set arrived in the post on Monday from Kim of Kute Kiwi. They're also at Feltaid, where all the proceeds will be helping out the Red Cross earthquake appeal in Christchurch.

And these are some finds from the Sallie's Op Shop on Dominion Rd, Auckland

Rosemary McLeod's Bedside Book, which I'm really glad I've found. This is great satire of 1970's NZ, with accompanying illustrations, written by one of NZ's leading female satirists.

A tiny Spode Dish, delicately handpainted with a picture of snowbells

A loop of 1960's peppermint green plastic beads. Glorious.

Happy crafting everyone. I'm in production-line mode today, making a batch of cards for a large custom order.

Spring blossom

I'm captivated by the spring blossom all over town and about gardens this week. The magnolias in Albert Park on Princes street are seriously gorgeous with their elegantly formed and sensuously coloured blooms against starkly bare branches
